Dear All. We’re happy to announce that after a 2 week holiday for all of our staff we are back in town again!
The weather has taken a turn meaning our landscaping and tree surgery teams have been busy with broken branches and wind damage.
This week we start on the Meikle Development in Cambuslang. It is a development of 14 detached 4 and 5 bedroom houses with gardens and separate driveways.
We have arrived on site after the ground works have been completed and foundations laid. Another contractor has installed the wooden frames and we are now started on the brickwork and roofing. We expect the first 3 houses to have the basic walls and roof up within 2 months.
But in the mean time we expect to start with internal plumbing ad electrics.
Window and door supply and fitting is being carried out by a third party. Driveways and patio laying will be completed by ourselves once the units near completion.
The brick is a ready mustard sourced from south Devon. It is a beautiful colour and keeps colour in even after years of Scottish harsh weather. For this reason it has become a favorite in these parts and a common brick for us to suggest.
The roofing in 12 mm ply covered with 3 layer laminate which is heat bonded and sealed before the red tile is put in place. This should have a lifetime of at least 5-0 plus years and we supply and fit the roof with a 25 year guarantee to the developer which can be passed onto the homeowner upon transfer of title.
This development is quote unique in that there are actually existing trees all around each house. Great care was taken during the ground works not to damage any trees and it will make for a stunning housing site with great views from the seclusion of a private copice of beach trees.
